U8 White vs Glebe Greyhounds: Round Two
The U8 White team saw the return of their coach Stephen Dunne and together with Sam Winter the super coaches looked to prepare the eager and highly charged U8 White team to new heights.
The U8 White team did an outstanding job representing the Drummoyne Power in front of an almost capacity crowd at Drummoyne Oval. Harry set the scene for the afternoon dominating all those around him to lift the spirits of the Power U8 white team. Will was, as usual, hard at the ball and Lucas again was accurate with his kicks and always looking for the quick handball. Ethan made his debut for the year and made an immediate impact picking up several kicks throughout the game, whilst Zac proved adept in the forward line quietly picking up kicks and showing skill in the quick handball to team mates. Max and Jesse combined well in the back and forward line and were never too far away from the ball in what was an enthusiastic display of footy.
The game was a hotly contested battle played with great sportsmanship. The Greyhounds were true to the spirit of the ANZAC on this special day by being competitive but also demonstrating mateship by rotating a team member to the Power U8 White’s each quarter.
A special thank you to Stephen and Sam as well as all the parents who supported and contributed on the day.
