The U14 Canada Bay Cannons side is off on a ROAD TRIP for the ultimate in pre-season away matches and a weekend jammed packed with footy. The weekend has been set up between the U14s and former coach Steve Wall. He coached the boys many years ago, before moving overseas, then to Canberra.
The team heads to Canberra on Friday 11 April. Match One is at Gungahlin Town Centre Oval, Ginn Street, Gungahlin. Arrive 6.15pm for a 7.10 start. Then back to the accommodation for pizza and the second half of the AFL on TV.
On Saturday 12 April, the squad will visit the Australian War Memorial (in advance of the 100th anniversary of Gallipoli) then over to Manuka Oval for the GWS GIANTS v Melbourne match. Back to the accommodation in time for the Port/Swans match on TV.
Sunday, there’s a second scratch match at Amaroo Oval, off Horse Park Drive. Arrive 9.30am for 10.30 start time, before heading back to Sydney.
Good luck, boys! Have fun and travel safely!
