Call for 2017 Coaches and Managers
Drummoyne Power is run by volunteer parents for the benefit of their children. There is an expectation that every family contributes. Now is your chance to choose an on-field role to do your part in 2017!
Drummoyne Power is running an Expression of Interest (EOI) process for Coaching and Managing staff appointments in 2017 for U9-U11s & Youth Girls.
Our Coaches and Managers are the cornerstone of the club. Without them the kids don’t play. And in the interests of pushing forward on our success in 2016, we are committed to coach development and manager support to ensure you have all the help you need.
We are calling for all existing and new potential managers and coaches to register their interest in a position by clicking on the link below and filling in the simple form. This is an EOI, not a full commitment at this stage, so even if you are unsure about availability, please fill in the form, using the link below.
Some of you may have already spoken to club officials about next year, however we ask all of you to fill in the form. We are also actively encouraging non-parent applicants (e.g. recently graduated senior players), so if you know of someone with a keen interest in AFL please forward the link to this web page.
Other On-Field Roles
If you would like your volunteering choice in 2017 to be another on-field support role (Assistant Coach, Runner, Help at Training etc) please fill in the form – there is a place for “Other Roles”.
There is a separate EOI process being run for the Canada Bay Cannons teams (U12-U15s): CBC Coach & Manager EOI Form.
Both the Drummoyne Power and Canada Bay Cannons EOI forms will take no more than a couple of minutes to complete.
There will be a separate call for Auskick volunteers closer to the start of the season.
Drummoyne Power and the Canada Bay Cannons requires all volunteers over the age of 18 to provide a valid Working with Children Check. The process is straightforward and details are online.
All coaches must be accredited by the AFL, and Drummoyne Power/Canada Bay Cannons will reimburse you for the cost of accreditation courses.

Volunteer at a Club Level
Without all families contributing in a volunteer capacity in one way or another, Drummoyne Power wouldn’t be the successful club that it is. Whether it is staffing the canteen or BBQ every so often, or helping out on a more regular basis, we need volunteers at all levels. Some jobs require a regular weekly commitment – others just a few hours at home games or every now and again.
Any of our board members would be happy to talk to you about getting involved at Drummoyne Power.
